The recycling study, carried out by the Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania (PROP) in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), was designed to support school leaders in effectively managing recycling programs. It aimed to develop best practices and recommendations for school administrators, boards, and operations managers to enhance recycling and organic waste management. The study collected information on current recycling practices in schools through a brief questionnaire.
